The big change is that over the last 2 years I have been a Pastor in Muskegon and that is coming to an end. It has ended well and nobody wants me to leave but its just not as good a fit as I thought it would be. For now I will be going back to work for my dad at his shop as long as the work load will support 3 mechanics. Hopefully that will hold out until he goes to Mexico in January then I will run the shop while he is gone. I guess there is a good reason the LORD hasn't sold my house yet. YIKES!!
Now for the good stuff (the other is good stuff too just not as much fun to announce).
The truck will be getting the ESE eliminator kit and some other little transmission work. It will finally get the right trans pan as well since it has a 2wd shallow pan (????), Don't ask cause I don't know why.
Also I will be removing the bed to finally cut off the lame homegrown goose neck hitch off as well as the ugly welded on rear bumper. Both were done before I got the truck and I don't trust either of them! I will be putting a stock bumper and a receiver hitch back on.
Then a few project that have been in the planning stages for a long time have finally started to take shape on my mock up engine. The turbo project for either a HX50 or H2E is underway. Hopefully I will be acquiring a few more parts shortly. I have not sure which turbo I am going with yet. I have a HX in hand but the exhaust housing isn't going to work like I want so I might rather than get another housing I might just get a H2E that I found. Now I just need the seller to respond!
Then along side the turbo project is an electric pump/regulated return fuel system. I will be getting the fuel lines and regulator all situated as the turbo and the third item all intertwine.
So the third project on the mock up engine is my very own Big oil system. It will be pretty much a copy of Swamps Generation 3. I have the IH HPOP reservoir and gear for the power steering pump. All I need to do is get the right pump from Grainger and get the gear machined to fit the pump then plumb it all up.
The great things is that my expected budget will be about 1/5 of these items if I were to buy them. Hopefully I have not underestimated that! Don't worry as always pictures and details to follow. Just don't hound me on the turbo, fuel and oil project cause that could still be a while from completion.
EDIT: Forgot to mention as well that I finally sent my chip in to TW to get burned: heavy tow, tow, econo, daily driver, street race and extreme
Hay TJ, have you ever heard, " If you want to hear God laugh, Just TELL him what your going to do".
You are a great person. Good Luck with the new adventure.

Yes HE does get a kick out of that, or is it me that gets a KICK for that......
Off subject but....How did your dad make out with that problem he had trying to take that Volvo tractor and 5th wheel into Mexico. Did he have to abort that mission or did he finally get through?

Rog
He had to abort. They drove back to MI and flew back down. He got the tractor retitled as a RV but we are not sure if that will help this time around. Still looks like a tractor to the Board agents.
Sorry to hear about the pastor thing not working out. Our baord is in the process of finding a new pastor. Our last one left almost 2 years ago. We think we may have the next one lined up now though. Best of luck. As for the truck, yes please do keep us all up to date.
Good luck with the new endeavor Tim, as well as the projects you have lined up. If you ever get tired of working on your truck, you're always welcome to come start on mine
i will add in another good luck and hope everything works out well..
oh yeah and i gotta say this... DAYYYMMMM!!! You gonna get us some tire shredding videos when those projects are done Tim?! LoL
Might be more transmission shredding than tire shredding but I'll give it my best!
Farm I will gladly make your up too. I just hope I am able to make mine like I want it. The up-pipes might be my limitation though with the space availible. I am hoping for some flex bellows and v-band connections one each pipe. Not sure there is room for all of that though.
