Yeah, I thought he had OD, so I asked what tranny he had so I could look up what his OD gear is, so I could factor that into the RPMs on the highway. I was going to recommend 4.10s on 35s, because 4.56s can be a little agressive. 3k+ RPM at 65 is very high, too high, and it will go down with larger tires. You want that around 2-2200 rpm at 65.

My first post ---> "4.10 gears will do well for the 35s, it's a good mix between gas and power. Also, if you're going to be doing any towing, or need some more serious acceleration with the expense of gas, 4.56s. 4.56s are a tad aggressive, so my vote is for 4.10s."

Sorry for the multiple posts, but i re-read it, stay with the 4.10s, you will run about 2500rpm at 65, it's a little high, but not to bad at all, so stay with that on the 35" tires. You don't want to run more than 26-2700 rpm on the highway, to much stress and not good for the motor because it's more wear and tear, you don't need the RPMs up that high. Once in awhile, its ok but, not good for the long haul. So stick with what you have, you have a good setup, put some 35"s on there and have a great day!

Alright I am looking at the Super Swamper SSRs and the BFG mud terrains. Will a 14.50 make that much difference than a 12.50? I would like to get the 12.5 if possible ($$$) but if it would be better to run 14.5 then I will cough up my hard earned money. I will be doing some rock climbing and some serious off road so what do you guys suggest for the front? locker, ls? open? Thanx guys.
as for the tire, more is better. As for the fron axle, if you don't drive in snow then get a locker, if snow, ls, if a lot of ice open. if you have it locked and hit ice, when you spin your truck will slide to the side so that's a mjor factor. If not, then definitely go with the locker.
I live in Arizona, I don't have to worry about snow. Can you explain to me why you suggest locking the front? Thanx, Will a 14.5 fit on a 10" wide wheel or will I need to go to a 12" wheel?
The ARB lockers are a good idea. I wanted to get a true-trac but, they need some kind of spring to keep the passanger axle from popping out, that doesn't come with the product, so i changed my mind on that. If you lock the front, you don't have to worry about it's on road driveablity because you only put it in 4x4 off-road.

Well, you could lock the rear and put the ARB in the front where you can have it in open and drive fine on the road until you need more traction, just flip the switch. Its cool, but expensive. To expensive for me, I was going to get a true trac for about 300 but didnt want to because of the whole spring problem w/ the axle popping out. So I decided to leave the front open for money reasons. You don't want a locker for snow, not at all, dangerous.

I know you don't drive in snow, but i just added that for some reason. If I were you, I would lock the front too. Thats because you don't use the front end on the street, so you dont have to worry about it trying to spin at different speeds.
