Thumbs up Score

I just picked up a 92 F250 with a 5 speed and a 300 6. 120,000 miles.

In time I will need build a flatbed for it. It is going to be a work truck. I am excited about this purchase.

Low mileage. I intend to use it for landscaping and lawn care. I am thinking once the flatbed is complete set it up with some ramps and load my mowers on it as well and ditch the trailer all together except for hauling materials and moving larger equipment.

That sounds like a pretty good find. 92-96 is one of my favorite generations of pickups because they look fairly modern and you get many of the advantages of newer vehicles - fuel injection, fewer rusted bolts, etc...but they still retain a lot of the features I love about older trucks like vent windows. A 300 with a 5 speed is pretty much an ideal drivetrain too.

That is exactly it. Except for a couple of rust spots that I intend on fixing it will look great for a 17 year old pickup.

Between the 73-79 body style the 92-96 is my next favorite generation of Ford pickup.
