P0605 code question
Ok, Most know that when you install a programmer you get the P0603 code. When you install a chip in a truck, you can also get the P0603 code also.
For everyone that is running a chip or a programmer:
Do you ever get a P0605 code?

Is your truck running OK? The 0605 isn't one I would want to play around with. Have you checked to make sure your chip isn't loose?
I know I shouldn't be answering based on your question, but would hate to see you need a new PCM.

the pcm tests good (no codes) without the chip and with a different chip. So it must be an issue with the chip - I know the 605 code = Internal Control Module ROM Error, but that is the extent of my understanding. Any thoughts?

I thought the ROM was the programming imprinted in the PCM (or chip). I don't really understand how all that works, but when the manual says clear codes and retest, if 0605 shows back up replace the PCM, then I figure that's not good news. If the PCM check out OK, then I'd suspect a chip or chip connection problem.

Looks like there is issues with his F5. Tried a different PCM, both PCMs test fine by themselves, stand alone - no chip. Install chip and he gets the P0605 error with both PCMs. Tried a different chip & tested it with both pcm's, no errors.
