I recently changed from a problem-ridden SCT Livewire to a SCT Xcalibarator3, and now when running my custom tune I get a check engine light and a error code P0605. I never got this on the same tune with the Livewire. Anyone know what causes this and how to fix it? Thanks.
Not sure what the P0605 code is, maybe you could post that as well. But, when you changed tuners, did you disconnect your battery (neg term) for 15 minutes to clear the KAM tables? Your tables would have adapted to the Livewire and now with the new system, they can't 'learn', so it's popping a code.
Need to correct some information in this thread. No offense meant, just that I have years of experience in the tuning field.
When the computer is reset (which happens when you reprogram it) the adaptive learning is erased. The computer is learning solely based on the tune in it now, and driving habits since it was installed, and it doesn't matter what was in it previously. The error code can be caused by a number of things. Faulty flash PROM in the computer, checksum error from the programmer, low voltage when programming the vehicle (make sure the battery is good and all accessories, including the overhead light and radio are off during programming), incomplete programming and more. Try reprogramming it again and see if it goes away. If not, restore it to store and see if it goes away. If so, then its related to the tuner and not a faulty flash PROM.
installed SCT tune now I got P0605 DTC read only memory error.SCT isn't much help.

This is where I am no code with stock tune. I believe something didn't download correctly when I updated my tune on my flash device.
