Exclamation 7.3 flexplate on 6.9 engine

I am trying to complete my 7.3 to 6.9 swap and need some info.
Can I use my 7.3 flexplate on my 6.9 engine or will it throw the balance off?
I am trying to install a 6.9 on a E40D trany. If I have to use the 6.9 flexplat how thick does the spacer have to be. Oh and it is my first post on here, thought I would come join the cool people

This is the info I send out, BUT others have done the changes with no adverse results supposedly........so maybe they will chime in!!

Flywheel -
IMPORTANT. DO NOT USE 6.9 flywheel or vibration damper on 7.3 or vice versa. If components are intermixed, engine vibration and premature component wear may be encountered. For identification, compare these part numbers.
Vibration damper 6.9 1805414C1
Vibration damper 7.3 1809117C1
Flywheel Auto 6.9 1803219C1
Flywheel Auto 7.3 1809212C1
Flywheel manual 6.9 E7TA-6477-AB
Flywheel manual 7.3 E8TA-6477-AA

Although it is not an auto tranny, I used my 6.9 flywheel on three different 7.3 engines.
There were no strange vibrations on any of them.

Going the other way should not make any difference.

I have seen far more internal engine parts swapped between the 6.9 and 7.3 than anyone will tell you will work.

there is no difference in balancing
the early flywheel was a cast shell with a seperate flex plate installed inside it
this was used on 6.9 and 7.3 and the late 7.3 idi had a regular stamped steel flywheel
but the late stamped flywheel requires a crankshaft spacer , the early flywheel did not
