well thats set im taking to exhaust works and its getting done. so theres no back pressure on a diesel how does a turbo work or i guess i have no clue then
I bought the Walker BTM and had it installed. Sounds good, not real loud, but you can hear the turbo whistle. The muffler was about $57, and had it installed for $40.
There is a small amount of backpressure on the outlet side of a turbine, that's just the restriction of the pipe/muffler. Ideally you want as little as possible, IE shortest exhaust. The engine produces backpressure only because of the turbine restricting the flow, plus the turbine wheel in the way. That is how a turbo works remedially- heat, volume of gas and pressure all spin the turbo over.
