You guys in Az, Ga, Ca, La, and other places that don't get snow...Bite me..come up here and deal with it for a season, or not.
I did my time... spent the first 23 years of my life living in Buffalo. Woke up more than a few times to an unforecasted 3' of snow (that's feet, not inches).
Now I can point and laugh all I want at you poor saps who have to deal with the white stuff. It never snows here, ever. And if I ever want to see it, it's only a little more than an hour away.

Andy, I'll take the snow any day over the Earthquakes, mud slides, and forest fires you guys have...
I live in the central valley, in a 'burb just outside of Sacramento.
There isn't an earthquake fault for 60 miles or more. We have virtually no activity here whatsoever.
The foothills start about 30 miles away. No mudslides.
There isn't a natural tree within 30 miles either, so no forest fires.
It does however get pretty hot in the summer. The thermometer hovers near 100 for most of the summer. Looking at the forecast... 96, 94, 94 for the next three days.
The closest thing we have had to a natural disaster around here is a storm that blew through in January. 50-60 gusts and an inch or two of rain. Some people lost trees, fences, or both! Yikes, scary.
I'm still waiting for us to get another "big" winter storm.
Back in Feb 2003, we got a huge storm...the President's Day Snowstorm. Something like a foot and a half to two feet of snow. Couldn't even get out of our driveway for a couple days.
Since then, the snow's been pretty sparse most winters. Last year we got the most snow we've had in that 5 year span, and we really only got 3 or 4 good snows (maybe 6-8" max accumulation).
Everyone keeps saying "Oh this'll be the year," guess we'll wait and see!

Haha. Two feet of snow just meant I had to get the pushbroom out to clean off my truck before I went to work.
To clear the driveway, I have a blade for my tractor that does a pretty good job. I also put up a snow fence on the north side of the drive, and that goes a long way towards keeping the stuff from really piling up.
