Snow, Snow, And still more snow

Woke up this morning to a record 26 inches of new snow. I live in Anchorage, Alaska. This is crazy! I have lived here all my life and by March it is usually melting, NOT SNOWING! I guess I better get back to shoveling At least skiing should be good for a while.

Christop, don't be complaining about snow. If you live in Alaska, you ought to know such things could happen. I wish I had the snow you do. What is this about shoveling ? Why would anyone shovel snow ? Isn't that what plowtrucks are for ? DF

Considering the US and now possibly Canada are going to be involved in a Drought this summer I would think that everone would like more snow ?
Last year we had to drain lakes for the farmers for irrigation because it was so dry.
Now if somebody could make sure it wouldn't fall on the streets and sidewalks, that would be great.

I am not complaining about the snow, I know that it always snows here one last time when everyone thinks that summer is coming. I don't think that we have to worry about droughts too much here. Not a whole lot of farming, and the city gets its drinking water off Glacier runoff.

Don't complain about the snow. We are in the Texas Panhandle and haven't had any decent rain or snow in a looooooong while. The dust is blowing and the wheat is all dead so there will be more dust storms till the weeds come up. Every time a norther blows in we get dust from Colorado and Oklahoma so count your blessings and keep scooping snow. My snow plow is rusting. It looks like it could rain tonite and the humidity was up to 31% so maybe tonite is the nite. Sound like a good place to live? It's not like this but every 10 years or so, then it's good again. It's home.

The snow that's going to land here tonight is coming from Northern Washington.
