Thanks, I think I'll just order it off the Dieselsite website. I was thinking of getting it local, but never seem to have any time to get things done lately. I hate what Canada customs nails me for, when cross border shopping. When I bought the kit, it was $119 US. When I was done paying shipping, duty and customs fees. It came to about $200. So much for free trade....
Replaced my second filter last weekend. Not much in it when I cut it open; certainly much less than the first one had. I think I'll leave this one on for a year as I think it's doing its job effectively.
Now I need to flush the coolant. It's been five years already!

How many miles on your second filter? I let mine go, I think, 1500 miles on the second and there wasn't very much. The first one was all gunked up.
do you guys remember what size barbed fittings to get?
I was planning on picking up some brass hardware to finally get all the pieces together for this project.
Woo Hoo! Just scored a coolant filter base at the local International dealer for $20! Does anybody know what size T-fitting I need for the heater hose?? and where do you plumb the outlet end to??

Checkout my gallery I have some pics of the coolant filter, see if any of them help.
Thanks, now I know where the outlet goes, just need to find out the size of T-fitting I need for the heater hose, looks like 3/4, am I right??
Before you cut the hose on the passenger side, place a towel underneath the hose. Next lift the hose up a little (don't tug on it) then squeeze it several times and the coolant will get pushed out of it. I did this and didn't loose any coolant. I used the towel just in case.
Just changed my first coolant filter after about 3600 miles. There must have been at least 2 table spoons of sand in the bottom of the filter housing when I cut it open.
