They are hedmann elite headers and they fit great now that they are on but the guy that did the work says that they were a pain to get installed.
i went to oreilleys today to get a few things and was talking about my motor to the guy and he said that the edel 750cfm was way to much carb for my motor. I told him that my engine builder said that with the increased compression and my cam choice the 600 wasnt enough so i went with the 750. He then told me that its impossible to get over 9:1 with a 400. I just said "oh really" and paid for my crap and left lol.
Sorry, I'm a Holley guy, but I just wanted to thank you for the pictures. I also have a 78 4X4 with a 400.
What headers are those and how easily did they fit?
Enjoy it!
nevermind the part i need doesnt exist. edel #1483 is the linkage that i have but it is for a throttle CABLE i have the threaded rod. They dont make a linkage for the rod. Edel tech support told me i could make it work if i convert to cable thru Lokar. I'll just shift it manually if i have to until i can make something to work.
