hood trim help

ive got all my trim for the front of my hood as well as the side spears. i cant find where to get the clips to attach them, are they available? or -- can i some how braze some small bolts onto the backside and attach them with small nuts?

Fish,

I might have a few of them laying around. Probably not enough to go around though. I think you can still get them at NAPA (check their paint and body store down across from the main store/warehouse down on 2nd st) or other paint and body supply stores. Do you have one to match it up with or are you missing all of them?

well, actually when i took it all apart (6 years ago) i put them in a bag and put them up now i cant find them. i will try the napa on 2nd?

When I reinstalled the trim on my hood I went to NAPA and bought the twisted T threaded type of fastener.



I didn't like the original spring type because they would wreck the paint as you're installing them. The spring type clips were used because they were cheaper and quicker to install on the line.

Check ebay - there's a guy in Fla. with the exact replacements.

my local automotive paint supply store has about a bazzion trim clips etc..... they had some that worked on mine perfect.
