Removing trim from cab?

I have found a truck in a local junk yard that has the trim pieces that I am missing off my 80 F-250 Ranger and want to be able to remove them un-damaged. One part is the metal trim that goes over the wheel opening on the front fender. One of these is missing on my truck but the attaching clips are still in place. I can see on my truck the configuration of the clips and the fact that they push into spring loaded friction ferules in the fender, but how do you remove the trim without messing it up? The other items are what I call the rub trim on the front fender from the wheel well trim to the door and along the door and a small section on the cab Again, I can see on my truck some of the clips used to hold them on. but how do you get the trim off. The clips with the threaded studs and nuts are obvious but what about the intermediate clips?
