IC tube idea

Got my IC and tubes in today also After seeing how flimsy the 6.0 plastic tube is how much pressure can it actually take? I know schedule 40 PVC isn't made for pressure but would it work??? Working with it almost every day it seems alot more sound than the 6.0 tube

6.0 pipe.... I think PVC would hold the pressures but not sure about the engine heat and it certainly wouldn't be eye candy.

With the tubes I got eye candy is the last on the list, they are pretty rough. The 7.3 tubes are alumiumn and look like someone took a pipe wrench to the one. The alumiumn 6.0 tube has a depression in the one pipe, not sure if it's factory or not. Figured with PVC it can be smoothed and painted.

That would look pretty neat! You would probably have them stolen with in the first week for scrap metal though!

The pipes I got were aluminum as well so I just found a friend who would had a SD with steel pipes and just swapped them. Might be worth looking into for you as well.

That's a thought, I'll have to call a few people and see if they have steel tubes on their sd's...

I'd be worried about the heat with PVC pipe. Copper would be expensive!
