I have looked it up and and see that it covers 13 major componenets. I have a few questions concerning what all is covered:
Does it cover all oil pumps, i.e. HPOP and Engine oil pump?
Are internal lubricated parts, pistons, valves, cranks, etc...
What about the HP fuel lines?
I know that a lot of the failures are electronic as well, and none of these are covered. I have had about equal amount of both mechanical and electrical problems in the 33,000 miles that I have owned it, 57,000 total on it.
Head gaskets, egr cooler, EGR, Ficm, injectors, the usual.
This truck is bone stock and I take good care of it so I don't believe it is abuse or service related.
I am struggling with whether or not to purchase this.
First think. How many miles is going to be driven in the 5/100K warranty. Then you figure out for the additional 2 years of coverage with the extra miles. Sit back and figure "is it really worth it?" For only major components.
