if its a press on pully and its loose, lock tite wont do the trick, you would need to use bearing set. which is like lock tite, but for the other kind of force applied that locktite doesn't help against.

It firms up a bit diff then lock tite as well, to get the pully back off, you'd have to apply heat to get it to break down.
Bearing set has a set time as well.

I believe Loc-tite makes that stuff too. I believe it is number 607 or something like that. I remember it is a big number in the 6 or 700's

Yes, it is made by loc tite brand. =)

Lock Tite resists one type of force, and bearing set resists the other type of force that the thread locker does not.
Its some wonderfull stuff.

Miss I,,did you get a new pulley?..

If you have done this replacement a couple of times ,,you need a new one to be sure it stays on the pump...,,

It takes a great deal of force to remove them even then,,

an interference fit will only work a couple times before the pulley is stretched out to some degree...

yeah, got an entire new vac pump/pulley assembly...i've never done the replacement before and have no past records on my truck, so your guess is as good as mine as to if/when it's ever been done before!
