Power locks are going crazy on my wifes 97 F150 while driving they will go up and down up and down they are supposed to lock once the engine is started and do.. but then start going crazy.. Any one know of a silinoid that could be bad or any other clues greatly appreceated
I had the same problem on an aftermarket system that I added to my 93. It turned out to be the connection that went to the aftermarket module that was hot when the key was on. Fixed the bad connection and it hasn't happened since.
Thanks .. I'll check it out are you referring to a aftermarket remote alarmsystem??? becuase she had one added at the dealer when she bought the truck.. i hope it can be something nice and simple
Yes, it is an aftermarket alarm system with the keyless entry system built into it. My actual problem was with the inline splice connectors. One of the connectors was in front of the heater outlet. When the heater was on my doors would lock and unlock. I removed the connector and soldered the connection.
Hey i got to digging around under there and came across one of those phoney splices that was loose so far we havent had it twig out yet we are keeping our fingers crossed. we head to Sacramento tomarrow so time will tell thanks again....
