powerstop rotor change

Finally got around to changing my rotors and pad today (front only so far)
here's some pics from my day took me a total of 4hrs. I didnt have any grease so I had to make a quick run to kragen once that was clear everything went smooth......


here are the old crappy rotors

That looks nice, man those 2wd front ends are REALLY different!

and very easy to repack bearings, or change them!

I never noticed before that the 2wd trucks are coil springs! Nice brake job

well, after a day of having brakes I gotta say its awsome being able to stop. I didnt realize how bad my brakes were til now. Truck should be alot happier towing now, and so will I with piece of mind!

I just did this a few weeks ago, and was thinking the exact same thing!

Nice write up. Looks like the pad wear was pretty even all the way around. That is great.

Been a long time since I have seen a 2wd front end. Nice job looks like you got all your pennies out of the old pads. Nice write up. Do they make powerstops for the 4wd's too? Iam sure my truck would love a new set.

Good job and good pictures. I never seem to remember the camera when doing things like that.
Yes they do make powerstops for 4x4s. And yes, the new brakes will stand you on your head until you get use to them.

man those old pads were thin! Looks real good though, I have the same rotors and probably pads all around as well on mine. Huge difference in stopping. If anyone is thinking about it, quit thinking and do it.
