They have moved to a friend's house and will start clean-up tomorrow as will I.

Appreciate everyone's help, prayers, and willingness to open their homes...let's pray that the levees hold...that's gonna be a crap shoot

Thanks again, Jay
Glad to hear you are doing alright, too. Sorry to hear about the in-laws, though.

Been keeping tabs on this storm all weekend, glad to see it didn't turn out to be as bad as they originally thought, even though quite a few people have a bit of a mess to clean up. BUT..as long as no one got hurt!!!

Thanks for the updates.

Yep, my folks got 5.5 inches of rain in Mobile, but no real damage... just a lot of little limbs down making a mess in the yard and garden. Glad you folks in LA were OK, too.

I had to scoot back north from Mobile earlier than planned just because of the predictions about congested evacuation traffic. Took me 3.5 hours to make the 2 hour drive to Montgomery on I-65, but it was almost open road from there north to Birmingham on Sunday afternoon. I almost decided to make the run up the "back door" corridor on state and county roads, but it really would not have been any faster.
