OK guys...we made it through ok. It wasn't 'that' bad of a storm..been thru much worse. we have no power, running on gen power right now. No dmage to the house, but we have some damage to some rental properties...nothing too major. In laws in BR have three trees thru their house so needless to say they did not fair well. They have moved to a friend's house and will start clean-up tomorrow as will I.
Appreciate everyone's help, prayers, and willingness to open their homes...let's pray that the levees hold...that's gonna be a crap shoot
Thanks again, Jay
Glad to hear you are doing alright, too. Sorry to hear about the in-laws, though.
Been keeping tabs on this storm all weekend, glad to see it didn't turn out to be as bad as they originally thought, even though quite a few people have a bit of a mess to clean up. BUT..as long as no one got hurt!!!
Yep, my folks got 5.5 inches of rain in Mobile, but no real damage... just a lot of little limbs down making a mess in the yard and garden. Glad you folks in LA were OK, too.
I had to scoot back north from Mobile earlier than planned just because of the predictions about congested evacuation traffic. Took me 3.5 hours to make the 2 hour drive to Montgomery on I-65, but it was almost open road from there north to Birmingham on Sunday afternoon. I almost decided to make the run up the "back door" corridor on state and county roads, but it really would not have been any faster.
