VC connector

Well finally getting around to replacing the burnt connector to the VC gasket. Does any body have any recommendations on how to do it? Should I solder it? or can I just use some good connecters?

Thanks

Thanks guys! I know soldering is the prfered way but me and the soldering iron dont get along to well and normally end up with burnt wires and fingers. I wanted to make sure if I did use butt connectors, I wouldn't be doing it again down the road because I half a$$ed it the first time.

Thanks again!

I dont like butt connectors because they are alluminium and will corrode in time. When I do wiring that will get moisture around it I just bare the wires, spred them apart like a blossom them put the blossomed ends together twist cover with 2 layers of heat shrink first layer slightly longer thean wire area then second enough to cover 1st layer. this method has never failed me in 10 plus years of repairing wiring on semi trucks n trailers and os virtually like original wire. Good luck For connector goto powerstrokeshop.com and get the phone # easier to call than find on site I do have part # but will take alittle time to find.

I use Raychem solder sleeves, solder and heatshrink in one step. Mouser catalog 125C come in 3 dia. Mouser ships for free even if you buy $1 wort.
