i did a search on a lug conversion and didnt find very much. is there a conversion that can be made so there is more readily available aftermarket wheels for these trucks? sure, i know there is probable something out there for about $1200 but i am speaking of something newer yet interchangable from another model. if none of you have looked into it, there is hardly any wheels available out there for this lug set up.
What kinds of wheels are you looking at? Ford Dodge and GM used this lug pattern for decades, I think Dodge still does. The big difference in most modern wheels is the offset.

Ford offered styled steel and styled aluminum wheels for the first time in 1977 on F100/150's. Sizes available were all 15" x 5.50" (5 1/2"), several different widths were available.
1953/79 F100's & 1975/96 F150's all used the same diameter wheel and bolt pattern: 15" x 5.50" bolt circle pattern.
CAVEATEMPTOR Some 1980/83 F100's have a 15" x 4.50" bolt circle pattern, the only F100's to ever use it.
there are plenty of after market rims out there for the 5x5.5 dodge i just picked up a set of polished aluminum rims for my 63 that uses the same bolt patteren...
