Split drag link dust boot

Split drag link dust boot
Dammit...I just put all new tie rods in my truck a couple weeks ago and the dust boot on the drag link already split on one side.
Is this a common problem, because the old one was split too. I'm thinking maybe I should switch to polyurethane boots.
Does anyone know which ones work on an F250?
