The light burned out on the console shifter last week. I have not been able to find anything in the manual or using the search feature to find how to change it. Would appreciate any help anyone could give so I could change it. I assume the console has to be opened. I have a 05 Lariet SC. Thanks in advance for any info.
The top part of the console pops off but you have to open the console lid first. Pop it off and you maybe able to see how its done. I've had mine apart several times just never thought to look at the bulb
Thanks Brian for the info. Just came back inside from the truck. Took me only a couple of minutes. Socket for bulb was on left side, easy to see. Will pick up bulb next time I'm out.
Ya just go to walmart or auto store and get a set i for get which kind they are the same ones as the license plate bulbs. Take the center console off pull the bulb out. Might need some pliers dont squeeze to hard and dont twist. Should come right out. Mine I couldnt get out by hand it was stuck.

Glad it was a help Gary,
I was going to change my thought everyday but I've had that a while now, just cant seem to stop thinking thats a good thought everyday
Thannks Still Smoking for the tip on the tight bulb. I couldn't pull it out yesterday so I figured to wait till I stopped at Autozone. Just back in from the truck, bulb came right out with gentle tug with pliers. Yours and Brians help was spot on. Thanks again guys ! This wasn't a big job but was no hassle with correct info.
