My 2002 still doesn`t seem right. It has a new long block Jasper engine in it that I`ve put about 6,000 miles on it now. It doesn`t make the noise that the old engine did but it runs exactly the same performance and fuel economy wise. Everything I`ve read tells me that the trans should shift at 5200 rpms, mine 4700 old and new. Also the trans has been rebuilt with a mild shift kit.
Took it to a dealer to have it reflashed, they disabled my cruise control for the TSB but didn`t have the new parts to fix it. I got the "we test drove it with the computer on and everything is fine" speel.
Air filter is clean, MAF is clean, headers, flowmaster 70
Question is should I go to a different dealer and pay the $150 for a reflash or pay $350 for a programmer?
Flat land I get 14 mpg empty @ 70mph
Towing 4500#`s gets me about 8-9 mpg @70 both on flat land
Mine runs great and I don't get 14 most of the time. and I just got back from a 800 mile R/T camping trip and averaged 9.7 mpg pulling my 6500lb Jayco....
which tunes did you get from him there are alot of choices on that website?
You'll have to contact him, give him the specs of your truck, what octane you want to run, mods on truck, computer code and etc. He'll send you a tuner with your desired tunes or can make tunes to load into your SCT tuner. He has a tune request form on his site you can fill out.
