One more thing, do NOT depend on a good ground thru the ball hitch of the trailer to the truck. You need to insure that the trailer plug has a GOOD ground to the trailer frame/battery.

i dont expect it to work if the battery is not hooked up actually i dont expect it to work at all since the breakaway switch isnt even there
