I've got another solution for the pats key workaround... Call DP Tuner and get a computer that bypasses it. About $200 is I think what I paid. Get to bypass pats and 80hp econo.
I got it apart, taped my PATS key in above the ignition cylinder and it now starts and runs fine with the standard Ford key.
Little tricky fitting that big key in a place where the shrouds would fit back down but I got it. I'll try this for a while, can always take it out if I feel the need for the anti-theft AND feel generous enough towards Ford to get a second PATS key.
