Return to the stock tires and wheels and have them balanced at the Ford dealer. If the problem continues, there have been several TSBs on this issue. Locate the ones for your model year, print them out, and if they match, ask the dealer to fix this under warranty.

Drive line is a possibility, but I'd return the tires and wheels to stock before anything else.

Good luck,

I had the same problem with balance, I watched the "kids" use the rattle gun to run the lug nuts on. Even tho they use a torque stick it is not the same.
I pulled the nuts off and snugged them all up by hand then torqued them. Quess what? All's good. Just my take, try it, can't hurt.

Well I have tried all of the above, except going back to stock, and no luck, If anyone alse has any suggestion, I'm all ears. I guess I also forgot to mention that the shaking started when a drunk driver hit me on the Highway and his lil civic got wedged under my truck.

Gee do you think that might have something to do with the problem.
Well now how about you other guys? The problem starts after an accident. #1) the wheels have been balanced. #2) Lugnuts are torqued to spec. #3) Something has been damaged in the suspension by the car I ran over. I will go with #3.

And that you should only put stick on weights on the inside and that it. He said people make the mistake of putting stick on weights on the inside, and then the bang on weights on the outside. Which is how mine is done. One of my tires has a ridiculous amont of weights on it, while the other 3 have barely any. I had them check the tires and the rims seperate and they both seem fine. So i'm just at a loss, i need to find a damn shop that knows what they are doing. Or just throw my stockers back on and sell my new wheels and tires.
Certainly an improperly balanced tire can be tough to diagnose.... but there is one item that has not been mentioned yet. Do you know if your new rims are hub centric, or lug centric? It matters on these new trucks....

Mine began the shaking at about 3,000 miles. The delaer did a road-force balance and rotation and it helped about 80% - BUT, with less than 1,000 miles later the problem is returning.

I've got the 20" wheels with the Perelli tires. Dealer says I need to take it to an authorized tire dealer next.

Anyone permentely solved this problem?

I have a suggestion that you guys might think is crazy, but you might want to try it. My buddy has an 04 150 that had the same virbration. And he and I were looking everything over and in his case it ended up being a partially stuck parking brake. And after tearing apart the linkage and giving it a good cleaning then lubricating it with anti-sieze the vibration was solved. But this was done after he went through all of the same headaches that you guys are haveing.

I wish that is where it was it, less parts, it was the front end and no-one can seem to find the problem.
