Front end shake

It started yesterday, I went over a set of RR tracks and my steering wheel started shaking uncontrollably I stepped on the brakes and it stopped. Any thoughts?

Time to inspect the front end and steering components. We need more info about your truck. Year, miles, 4x4 etc.

No luck other then check all steering components and stabilizer

Tracking bar then ball joints most likely. Plenty on the search engine here about it.

I forget the technical name, but we had that exact problem in an old Bronco. It turned out to be the "trailing arm" bushings were gone. The arms I'm referring to attach to each side of the front end and trail back to frame mounts just below the driver and passenger doors. Check those bushings for wear.
