anyone know why this 0603 internal ctrl mod kam error always pops up I think sometimes the truk runs funny but think its all in my mind most of the time its making me crazy. I also have a back pressure sensor error code after replacing it and putting on new 4" exhaust strait from turbo no cat or muffler it still trips its on a 94 turbo diesel with the 7.3
It's nothing to worry about, KAM is Keep alive Memory and it just indicates the the PCM was disconnected from the power source, either by unhooking the batteries or because of a programmer.

Rod
I have seen of few trucks with KAM problems. It messes with the RAM
and ROM while it has no effect on the motor. It does effect the auto trans.
It will do stupid crap like TC haunt, short shift for few miles. Then it settles in, and all is good. It has been said that it has no relearn but it does.
OP
Your truck has a handshaker so it should have no effect as Rod states.
When you repalced your back pressure sensor did you clean out the line from the sensor to the exhaust manifold? They will get stopped up with carbon and will not let the pressure reach the sensor so it will sometimes set a code. Just a thought.
