75-85 is a bit high, It only takes 60-65 to completely fill the injectors. Anything more than that is just wear and tear on the second stage of the pump.
okay... so I drove about a mile, and it was running like crap. I mentioned before that it was bogging down at certain points in the throttle, and I could only run my chip in its second power position out of three. I thought that this would give it better support by adding some fuel pressure, but it made the same problem much worse. Same thing with the 10k mod - I tried 14.7k, and 22k, and they would really rip, but only if I caught the throttle just right, otherwise it would just take a dump in the middle of the road.
Any suggestions? I'd really like to be able to run my chip wide open, and add some more resistance, and so forth.
funny part - I stopped at a gas station (about the only time I stop there) to remove the BB from the FPR because it was crapping out so bad. I figure "no big deal, just take off the cap, pull out the spring, ..." I didn't count on the fact that I would drop the cap down in the valley... I finally got someone to bring me a magnet, but I couldn't find it for anything. I think it's up under the IPR. My wife and I were celebrating our 5th anniversary, so I locked it and left it there. I'll go back today and rob my other truck of yet another part until I get a replacement.
50's is not bad, I've seen them a lot lower. The FPR is preset at 46. When I shimmed mine I used a 4-40 phillips head screw and put in the opposite way that Sam shows in his pics. Threaded end into the spring and the tit on the cap in the X on the screw head. That was good for 63 psi with no adjustments needed. Now that I have electric fuel I have no problem filling 238 cc hybrids with 60 psi
