HF has a sale ad for a pneumatic 10 Ton short body ram for $22.99. I have not seen this tool but just trying to size it up from the pix it just might work in collapsing the
"Pinch Seam" when installing a larger down pipe. It would be worth a look see.

This is the one I was looking for when I had trouble with that firewall seam ..
But, they were out of stock so went back to the old and tried crow-bar method. Still want to get one though as I'm sure sometime down the road I'll need it, at least that is what I'm telling my wife. A couple months ago it was on sale for $50.00.

At $50.00 it would be well worth it just to have that little spreader unit. This set would really be the way to go particularly if you had to buy the hand pump to activate the unit I was talking about.
Rog- if you can adapt the fittings, you should be able to use compressed air instead, however not with the same force...
Not sure if you're aware, but there's a harbor frieght store in Sacraghetto....

i bought a kit identical to that but in the Torin flavor. i LOVE it! its one of those tools that is so versatile that i keep finding more uses for it. in fact i started taking it with me on fourwheelin weekends in the bronco. it came to be VERY handy for bending out those boo-boos you tend to get on the trail.
i paid full price (with some birthday money!) and i still think i got a great deal.
