I would say that with towing that trailer, 4.88s would be best to give u enough power for both the RV and trailer. If you aren't afraid of RPMs, maybe even consider 5.13s.
when i ordered my 05 e450, 4.56 gears were the only gears available and the v10 the only gas engine...according to 07 ordering guides it was the same...in 08 the 5.4 is standard with 4.56 gears and the v10 and 4.56 ls optional...for 06 im sure it was the same as 05 and 07 so the original poster has 4.56 gears
I have a 01 E-450 27' MH with 4:56 gears, and its, and yours CGVW (Combined Gross Vehicle Weight) Motor home and trailer is 20,000 lbs, and I would bet yours is overloaded. 14,050 lbs is the Max for the Motor Home, and yours is vary close or over, and that leaves 5950 lbs for the trailer, requiring a 5000lb equalizing hitch, do you have these installed on your MH?
You need to have them weighed.
I think your asking a lot, for it to not slow down from freeway speed when it hits a hill in O.D.. Adding all of the bolt on stuff will only reduce your reliability in the MHs drive train, its not a race truck.
