Need help FAST fuel problems
Drove my 2001 excursion V10 to work this morning tried leaving at noon and it wouldnt start, cranks over and nothing. I have owned this truck 3 years no problems. Once about a year ago I started it and it died a couple times, seemed strange but never happened again. First all it did was crank over and wouldnt start, I kept messing with it and now it will at least start but will die after a couple seconds, I can even rev it up to 4 grand during those couple seconds then its as if the fuel was shut off. Thought it was the fuel pump but not sure now, since it has all the fuel it needs to either idle or rev, just wont do it for more than a couple seconds sometimes it will almost go 5 seconds then it like the fuel is gone. Is there a faulty sensor or anything that causes this? It seems as if I had read some threads a while back about a similar problem, or do I just look into the fuel pump? I did change the filter about 2000 miles ago.
