Hi,
I have a 1977 Ford LTD with a 351 my problem is after i charged my system with R-12, my compressor is engaged and the lines are frosted up everything seems normal but it still wont blow cold i even looped my heater hoses to eliminate that out of the equation. The heater controls seem to be working properly if anyone has any solutions as to why i am not getting any cold air please post........Thanks Jeff
I believe the low side was 35 psi which was the standard according to the kit i purchased.i havent really torn anything apart before i got some general ideas of what might be the problem. The kit i used to refill my a/c R-12 is Red Tek 12a this product was recommended to me by a shop in town. What is the easiest way of getting at the blower fan to see if it is plugged of debris?.........thank you
I believe the system you have has a POA valve and there is a port for a pressure reading on the POA valve besides high and low pressures. You can have the correct charge and still not have cold air because of the POA.
Sorry. I'm not familiar enough with this system to help you trouble shoot it.
I just know it is a different system. Maybe someone will come along with more info.
The blower fan is accessed under the dash behind the glove box. Not to tough to remove if you are limber enough to work upside down under there.
