First: Thank you everyone who helped me get my truck running, I was able to use it to tow my car and all my earthly crap from California to Wyoming. I ended up replacing the radiator along the way, but we made it eventually.
Next question: I have just replaced the injectors with some reman ones from an ebay seller. The injectors I took out were stamped with a "B" on them, while the ones I put in were stamped with "BB". I have been searching the forum and can find no difinitive answer as to the difference between these codes (everyone is concerned with E injectors and much newer trucks!)
Last question: I am about to take the truck in and have the timing set professionally. I will be spending the next year at 7000 ft. elevation, and am wondering if the IP should be set farther advanced due to the higher elevation (a la gasoline engines - 1 deg adv for every 1000 ft over 3000 ft). I want to make sure I ask for the right thing at the shop.
I am bringing the truck from California to Colorado, roughly 600 ft elevation to about 7000 ft elevation. Would it help to know the #'s on the side of my pump to figure out how to make the truck run better. I'd like to get up to highway speeds in minutes instead of eventually. I'm not looking to smoke tires, but having antelope pass me on the highway is kinda embarrassing.
