We've been doing investing in rental properties for the past few years but we are doing more and more of the work ourselves. My next project I'm looking at this Thursday has an entirely gutted first floor unit (upstairs unit is rent ready). And I'm looking for an active discussion forum on construction / renovation.
Anyone belong to a community half as good as FTE?
Preferably nothing too specialized (I don't need a forum all about kitchen cabinets...) I guess a general contractor hang out would suit me fine. I just have some things that will be coming up that I'd like to get a second opinion on and to troll old topics.
Any help would be great
Otherwise look for questions about carpet laying in the garage forum
DIY Chatroom - DIY Home Improvement Forum This one has both a homeowner which this link is for and also one for professionals which you might be able to register for since you are a rental landlord. Even on the homeowner the profesionals visit to help some.
No, I do the majority of the work myself when I can.
But, I have had to deal with three different contractors for warranty work on a new house I bought.
None of them appeared to be skilled nor would I trust in my house.
