Been thinking of running stacks. Really don't want to spend 300 on a splitter pipe, and thinking of making my own splitter. Has anyone here made their own or seen one that someone has made. If so what was the approx cost of materials, what did you use, and dimensions would help as well. Was thinking of making mine of steel plateor diamond plane and just making a rectangular box and weld 5" flanges onto the box to hook up the pipe.
i made one for a buddies truck just took two 90's and cut the back out and welded it back togethor
or your could just run one pipe up and notch it and cut your hole i dont think flow would be that comprimised since your having two stacks, i jsut run a single on my truck
a box, tube or pipe straight across is about the worst exhaust flow you can have, don't go there. I made my splitter pipe. It wasn't too bad but for two 5 inch elbows and the time to weld it I probably would have just bought it. It didn't help that the pipe I used had been on my dads semi for around 3k so the soot made my MIG welder protest so I couldn't get a decent weld on it.
Cookie88 just bought one and said its Grand Rock which is a good brand.
It is an excellent kit. Ordered Saturday, shipped Monday, arrived Thursday, installed Satruday. I had no reservations leaving an A+++ feedback for that seller.
I've built several y splitters out of 4" 90* bends. But honestly, you'd be better off buying a complete bed kit. You can get them for right at $300. The you just need the stacks. But don't do a strait pipe into a chamber then stacks. It won't flow for crap. But that's just my opinion.
What the F!!!!!! I didn't type all the crap in blue!!! Must be a web site thing. What I put was www.airflo dot com or www.berubes dot com. Let's try this.
