Just wondering if any of ya'll have used seafoam in your inline 6. I have a 1995 F-150 4x4 with the 300 I-6 in it and am wondering about the pros and cons.

Seafoam is good stuff, but make sure you read and follow the instructions. If run into a vacuum line, it should be run through a metered orifice that will atomize it properly as it enters the manifold. (.100" I think, dont hold me to that) there's really no need to send it through vacuum at all, truth be told. Just put it in the fuel or crankcase like it says.
(I say all this because I knew a guy who simply dumped the bottle into his intake while running. The engine immediately went hydraulic. D:
That's interesting that you mention the instructions say to put it in the fuel or in the crankcase. If it can use either fluid system to accomplish the same goal, what is it really doing to your engine? Eating through the block?
actually, i put some seafoam in the crankcase of my 81 when i bought it, bc the oil was so lumpy that i figured it needed a good cleaning.
truth be told, it worked! ...too good, no more engine sludge, but it cleaned out everything that was helping my engine hold oil pressure lol, she's tired anyway and i'm gathering the funds to overhaul her...but the lesson is, use in the crankcase at your own caution!!!!
I was told by a local mechanic that Ford had a coating on the inside of the intake runners on the fuelie motors that help prevent carbon build up. He said running Seafoam through the manifold would eat the coating and cause more carbon build up. I run a full can in a tank of gas, it definately keeps my 300 running sweet.
i used seafoam in everthing i drive peroid i love it. but when i poured it in the booster line of my 83 100 no smoke what soever didn't make a big diffrence of how it ran, therys of this or does it mean i have a clean runnin 6? ...i like to belive so lol.
