I have a 91 f150 with the 300 six. The I'm getting code 181, system lean. I checked fuel pressure and it's good. The truck does not like for the gas pedal to be mashed. IT skips and does not want to speed up. Also it won't downshift and take off unless i floor it. When it does down shift it will speed up but it skips. The egr is disconnected so I know it's not that. I replaced the O2 sensor not too long ago. Fuel filter is pretty fresh. TP is checking out ok with voltmeter. I messed with the throttle set screw a while back. I was trying to fix the off idle stall I had. I now know that I shouldn't messed with it . If it's not set right could it cause the lean condition. It seems the problem only happens at a certain throttle position,but the tp checks out fine. I've ran heet and injector cleaner through the engine also. Any suggestions?
