audiophile cd6/mp3 question

I have a f150 king ranch 2005. I have a cd 6 disc changer and mp3. I assume its the audiophile. I have a stand alone sirius receiver that broadcasts out to my radio. I want to connect my sirius directly to the radio. I have an audio out on the sirius and an AUX on the audiophile. How do I access the AUX? Do I have to remove the radio? If so, how? Is it as easy as removing the screws or do I have to have a special tool? Thanks in advance.

Yes,you have the Audiophile. You will need a PIE adapter(WWW.Logjamelectronics.com).To pull the radio, open the ash tray, grasp the radio trim piece on each side and SLOWLY pull out. Work your way up the trim piece pulling out,not up .

Not necessarily, all radios have the AUX button and there is a regular 6CD changer w/MP3 as well. Easiest way to know if you have the Audiophile is if you have the black subwoofer/amp box under the rear seat, and tweeters in the front door, or scroll through the Menu button on the radio to see if it has RDS (shows call letters of radio station/song names) and DSP, only the Audiophile radio has those features.

so you then have the standard 6CD with MP3. For what you're trying to do, it doesn't matter what radio you have. Just get the PIE adapter like he said, it should work with AUX button.

If you don't want to spend the money for the pie adaptor, you can get the antenna adaptor for about $25 and the sirius unit will output directly to the FM antenna input of your radio. You can get this adaptor at most big box electronics stores. Then just set one FM station to the frequency you want to use for the sirius input. I have used this in my 05 screw and my 00 SD and have driven from NY to CA and north of Ontario and have never had a reception problem. In fact I perminetly mounted the sirius base to the tray on top of the dash and ran all the wires behind and under the dash for a clean install.
