I have a 2003 F-150 Supercrew King Ranch 4x4 with the 5.4L Triton and it has a 3 inch body lift with 35x12.50 mud tires. My truck still has the stock 3.73 gears in it and its alittle slow. So what gears should i get so that it will be not as slow but will still do good in the mud?
yeah 4.56 i just put them im my truck and im runnin 355/60/20. they are a huge improvement fron my stock gears. def the 4.56 its an expensive upgrade but will save your tranny from a re-build
Check out NATIONAL DRIVETRAIN: Differential, Drivetrain & Ring and Pinion Supersite you can select everything easily and its very clear what you need and what the parts are. The prices are good as well. 4.56s are going to be your best bet with the 35s. They will bring you back to about the same gearing you had when the truck was stock, i believe it will actually give you a little bit better than stock ratio allowing for better "get up and go" or acceleration but a lower top speed. however im betting your not running around with your speedo pegged much : )
