A while back I had a small accident, well bout 6 months ago to tell you the truth. I know that the clock spring is done for. Does anyone know how to fix this or is it going to have to be done by a professional? Pictures would be great.
Believe it or not its as easy removing your steering wheel. I don't have any pictures but its easy to do. If im right it even comes with instructions. The only thing i can think to make shure you do first is to remove the battery negitive cable for at least 10 minets before unplugging the air bag/ horn pad. Just so there is no chance of the air bag deploying.
Here's a link with pics that will get you most of the way there. I was chasing a cruise control and possible clock spring issue. The wires ohmed out ok so I didn't remove the steering wheel, but these pictures should get you far enough to answer your questions. The only thing lacking is pulling the steering wheel and clockspring. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/6...l-removal.html
