Had a 2004-150 with 18" tires and decided to buy a 2008 because I don't really like the looks of the 09's , it's a two wheel drive but this one has 20" Pirelli tires on it - untill now I've never heard of them. It's got roughly 500 miles on it now but right out of the dealership on the way home I noticed at 70 miles an hour a slight twitch in the steering wheel and wanted to pull to the left. At slower speeds it runs smooth and straight down the road, just wondered if anybodies had this make tire and what luck you've had with them, I'm going to call the dealership to get something done but would like some imput before hand. I just know they're going to want to rotate the tires and let the problem hang untill I rotate the bad one back up front in a few thousand miles. Thanks Brian .
Lots on here have them including me. Mine have 23K on them an no issues. You probably just need to have yours balanced and rotated. Also, the dealer will probably only inflate them to 35psi. These tires tend to get flat spots in them sitting overnight at that pressure. I suggest bumping it up to 40psi or even the manufacturer's recommendation of 45psi. Just remember, the higher the pressure the harsher and noisier the ride.
Ditto on all said above. I have the 06 4x4. Put 43k on mine with good wear Great results, minus the temporary flat spot issues. I ran factory recommended 45psi most of the time. Recently replaced only because os sidewall damage that ocurred. Went with P275/60 Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armor for a slightly more aggressive tread and more sidewall height. Jury still out on these. Tire Rack survey shows the Scorpions as #1 AT tire. Must be pretty good.
I work at a Ford dealership and just last week, a guy who just bought a truck with the 20's and pierelli's, and he just came back with a vibration concern, he had it a day, and the rim was bent from the factory.

I have the same exact problem. I rotated the tires and can feel it up front more than before. I was going to try having the tires balanced but since I usually drive 65 mph and slower it hasn't been a priority to get it done.
Having same issues with my 20" scorpions had it in dealer 3 times now 1st time at 200 mile and said nothing wrong sent me on my way.. 2nd time i demanded. check tires and front end alling ment ... go firgure both front end off only a little and all four tires balance was off , 3rd time having issues with sterring wheel shake back and forth took in they could not find anything wrong with it,, but i drove home drive fin now?? when i had a problem with shake in steering wheel is when it sat for a day and drove it next and after a whille it cleared up? (is that the flat spoting ) everyone is talking about? if so what is so great about theses tires?? i have only 2700 mile on 2008 f150 60 year anniversary edtion , love the truck hate the tires if i have to deal with these for the next 3-4 years... i also have issue with truck tracks or pulls to right a lot? any sugestions...
Finally had mine balanced. It helped but there is still some steering wheel shake that starts around 65 mph. Problem is not consistant in intensity. Not looking forward to winter and flat spots from setting overnight. I was considering buying Scorpions for my 03 but bought Michelins instead. Glad I did. Can't wait to get the Scorpins off.
Ford thought we had a bent rim the tires were so out of round.......had the tire road force balanced which made the vibration worse. At 50-60mph looked liked the bed was going to bounce off the truck. Steering wheel shimmy also, our local service dept. was getting tired of us that one said take to were you bought it from......I kinda got mad and said this is the place the we bought it! It still had there decal on the tailgate.....what idiots! Anyways to make a long story short on these tires and Ford dealers and no help from them except the TSB's on flat spots on the tires to drive to get them back in round to drive 20 miles was horse **** the truck has 7k on it!! Called the local Sears Tire shop, they said bring it down they would check it out, we took it down there first tire which was so bad we had the spare on it. They put it on the machine the tire guys couldn't believe it how bad it was all over on there balancing machine!! Second bad third bad and fourth was not to bad but they suggested warranting them out. They wouldn't even stock these tires cause they are so ****ty the manager stated, we adjusted them out for the new Michelin AT/2, VERY HIGH DOLLAR!! The Pirelli's were adjusted at full price about $140 bucks the Michelins were $313 a piece and they were running a 10% off sale helped a little!
After it was all said and done it was close to $780 dollars difference to get new tires for our truck!! Rides like a Lincoln now!!
Sears will honor these tires as long as you can prove your truck is under a year old, that is the warranty on the tires from Pirelii tires!
