problems with 7 pin trailer plug

For some reason the on the 4 prong and 7 prong plug on my truck the left turn and brake doesn't work. The lights on the truck work fine. The trailer is fine I tested the 7 prong plug on it with a battery. I got under and started unwrapping the harness. There isn't just a T splice. The wires are completely different all the way from what the book is calling the CJB central junction box. I'd like to see what I have up to that point but I have no idea where it's at. It started raining and getting dark so I figured I'd try here for some help.

check fuse had same problem only it was right side it was a fuse

Thanks Mike. That's the answer I was hoping for. I've been working on my own vehicles for 30 years. I never heard of something being fused that way. You would think it would be the whole system. I'm going fuse hunting right now.
