power surge
when driving down the road in my 94 explorer,i notice my volts gage neddle drop quickly and then return to normal at least once every 2 minutes and watch my lights dim for a slit second also.
is this normal

My 96 Bronco does that when the load is high (when the a/c cycles on..with lights on and tube woofer on). The cheap voltage meter indicator will move back up when running higher than idle.
