you guys are missing out. yall should look into a topside creeper, after using one to put in my van turbo, i wouldnt go back to what i had before which was nothing, not even an old school mattress like yall.
looks like a job well done to me. Rick that motor looks high end used car dealership clean, and i dont mean that in a bad way.
Thanks Joe for posting the pics, I tried to do this yesterday afternoon but for some reason or another I couldn't. Thanks for the complements guys.
I got to hand it to Roland, that guy can fix anything. I would get to the point where I would say, I can't get this to work, and Roland would climb up and figure a way to make it work. Like Joe said, no major snags, I was so surprised things went so well. Took 2 mins to clamp the up-pipe clamp on. I think the worst problem was to install the new intake boot to the turbo. Roland and I were about to cut a little off the boot, but Joe said Hell no, get that boot on. We climbed back up and finally got it on. Man, you have to hold your thing in just the right angle and it worked. Don't think Joe didn't work with us, He was right there keeping us laughing, that guy is CRAZY, in a funny way. We do have pics of Joe laying across the engine, the problem was keeping him awake while in that position. jk.
This was such a great weekend working and fishing with these guys. Can't wait to get the injectors in so we can do this again. The turbo has the greatest sound to it. We have a couple sound clips of it running at idle, and starting. Can't wait for it to break in so I can really see what it can do.
Both these guys drove 3 hrs one way to help me with this. Is that not FTE, PMS, PAA at its best? I can't thank them enough. I also have to mention Roland's wife Mary. She was a trooper with all this. Phyllis and Mary were like best friends the whole weekend. The women don't drink, so that left us guys with all we could we could handle or not handle. lol I also have to give credit to my brother Scotty. Joe gave him a new name for the weekend (dodge boy )
Joe, show the pic of your sweet room you slept in.
Man, you have to hold your thing in just the right angle and it worked. You make that sound kinda dirty there Rick.

Joe sure did make for an 'interesting' time. I have never had so much fun 'working' on a truck.
The trip was definitely worth making, not just to get to work on an extremely clean powerstroke engine, but to spend some time with some really great people. (and let me add; eat some of Phyllis' great cooking ) I have never felt so 'at home' the whole time we were there. I would not hesitate in going back to help with next stage of the mods.
Joe got the "Princess Room". Good thing Mary & I got there first. He was a real trooper. Thanks Joe.
Was that your girlfriend at the foot of the bed. Just kidding glad you all had fun, with I could have been there to help and enjoy the fellowship, this site provides.
Yet another benefit to the relaxation of fishin....
Joe,
Glad we got to do a little fishing together.
I didn't do any 'fishing' Saturday, so I could keep my mind on the business at hand. I sure they can that see you and Rick took care of that for me. lol
