Hey guys. We are finished with this stage of the mods. Took a test drive and I am so happy with the outcome. The first time I tried to start the truck, I couldn't. I tried twice and no go. Joe decides I don't know how to start my own truck and he jumps in and turns the key, Vroooommm, it starts and I hear a totally different engine. Man it sounds good. I put it through the gears to get the trans to temp to test the tru-cool connections. I step on the pedal a little and the whistle comes to life.
I don't know how to thank Roland. He is way more then a mechanic, he made sure everything was lock-tite or never-seized and torqued to the right #. He lead Joe () and me on the way to do the mods the correct way. He brought his tool that he thought we would need. I had plenty tools, but there are some that he knew we would need.
We been fishing (Joe and I ) quite a bit this afternoon. The story and pics will be here tomorrow. We are tired and need to fish a little more.
I must confess that I started fishing about 9:am. I have turned the pics over to Rick. BUT, I do have a copy and will keep him on his toes.......
His wife IS for sure a damn good cook. Bless her understanding heart. Roland's wife is every bit as cool. Mine, on the other hand is pizzed to high heaven, at home, tending a sick horsie.
Rick and Joe are some great guys. I am glad to have met up with them to do this project. I like to help where I can. We had fun doing this and I am looking forward to "stage 2" when we do more upgrades. I am also looking forward to Smokin and the chance to meet more of the great members of this site.
