I Need A Kill Switch

I'd like to install a kill switch on my '98 EXPY. I'd prefer to connect it to the fuel pump.

Any ideas or suggestions on doing this would be greatly appreciated.

thanks,
RG

Killing the FP is not a good idea. If someone tries to take it, they will drain the battery trying to crank it over. That in turn could cost you a battery. If you want to keep it simple, the best thing you can do is tie the kill switch into the start relay wire. Without the starter working they will not be able to start it.

Batteries can be recharged and I doubt a thief will crank the thing until it is dead, panic will set in. Anyways if you are a non smoker here is a slick one, use the cigarette lighter, first get it good and hot and melt some solder into it to get rid of it's standing resistance, next isolate it from the leads that power it and use it as a switch, with it pushed in it will be on, and out will be dead, I ran my fuel pump relay "the coil side" through mine on my "other" car that I would not like to see leave, without my permission.

thank you both for responding. I think I'm going to go with the cigarette lighter idea. I could care less about replacing a battery, besides if it doesn't start they might just turn around and shoot me. I want as much distance between them and me as possible before the car dies out.
I don't know if I'm watching too much news or if things are getting worse down here but it seems like car jacking and robbery's are becoming more plentiful. It's getting crazy down here. thanks again.
