The plastic headlight lenses on my '96 F-series are getting sort of foggy-cruddy-pitted and I've been looking for a set of clear plastic or glass replacement headlight buckets or lenses that might provide better light output. (NOT the corners-turn sigmals)
I can find lots of aftermarket headlight lenses and reflectors for the for the 1997-1998 and newer F-series trucks, but not for the previous body style.
What I'd Really like to find is something similar to what Ford puts on the new Super-duty trucks. Clear lenses, patterned reflectors and lots of light output.
They are not out yet. APC out of California is set to make them for the last body style F-series. They are due out by the end of July, I think. I have been bugging one of their dealers for months now. They finally decided to make them because of the demand. The name of the company is American Products Company (apc). Find them on the net and email them. Tell them what you want. Should be what you are looking for.
If you look on e-Bay, someone recently has started selling the diamond-cut headlamps for 92-96 f-150s. They have the clear plastic fronts, and the reflector is what forms the light pattern- like the newer style Honda Accords. I love the way they look and want to get some myself, but the price is still high, about $115 a pair. I bought clear corner lenses when they first came out for $90, and now they sell then for $35. As long as your lights provide adequete illumination, I'd wait off a couple of months so the prices drop, thats what I'm gonna do. On e-Bay search under "92 96 Ford", you'll find a couple sets of them. Hope this helps you out.
If i were you i wouldn't buy from that guy, he has a lot of negatives. And many of his negatives don't have any response from him.

Yeah, those are the corner lights that go on the newer F-150s. He's lookin for headlights that have a perfectly clear lense, like the ones on the new superdutys. The closest thing is the diamond ones the previous poster mentioned. But i wouldn't buy those they dont look very good if u ask me.
