Does anybody have pics of the light output difference in factory headlights and the aftermarket clear headlights? My truck has very weak light output and I am brainstorming on some ideas to get more light. I am thinking about replacing my headlights with aftermarket lenses to get more light output but would like to see some pics of output. Thanks guys!
Its my opinion that factory type headlights produce the best beam pattern. If you need new ones, get the TYC brand replacements. You can find them on Ebay for good prices.
If you want brighter headlights get the relay setup from LMC. Its also available on Ebay. It takes the load of the lights off of the headlight switch and provides more power to the bulbs.
I run that with Sylvania Xtravision bulbs. Stay with clear bulbs. Do not get any of the tinted junk. GE Nighhawk (not sport) are good too.
Another thing could be that they are old bulbs. As Halogen bulbs age they get dimmer. My friend's 2001 F150 had dim lights and we replaced the bulbs with new stock ones and it made a difference.
